Absolutely thorough and easy to talk to. Listens to your concerns, Then explains what he thinks is necessary for Your needs. And then follows up and explains the treatment thoroughly. Would highly recommend him. I drove round-trip 520 miles to see him. And after my appointment, I think every mile was worth it. C. McClain

I was quite satisfied at the time of the appt as we covered a lot of ground, one item of which was re: starting physical therapy. Dr Reilly agreed it was OK for me to start, and also he would write the referral letter. I checked w/ Lincoln PT approx one week ago and they had not received a letter, so today April 22, I checked w/ NPI and the letter had not been prepared. Note I have been out of town for most of the interim period. Part of this slipup was my failure to followup sooner re: the referral error. The record keeping staff person at NPI stated that the letter would be prepared today. Any way, good beginning for the initial visit, good outcome today, just a small snafu in the middle! Otherwise, good physician that I have grown to trust.

I am very impressed with the relief that I have gotten from the treatments. They are very pleasant to work with. If I am early they get me in and out sometimes before my appointment time.

While I do not have general appts with Dr. Spurgeon, he just did some trigger point injections for me in my neck. He was fantastic! He also tried to answer my question on a track to go down for my new issue and since I was on Valium, I did lose track of my point and he was so very gracious. This office, as a whole, has been wonderful and as a person loving with chronic pain and consistent body breakdown, I am so very appreciative of them all!

Major serious shout out to Wes Whitten, the pain doctor at Nebraska Pain Institute. I was a bit nervous, they gave me a valium and said it would take about 15 minutes for the effect. I sat there watching a home reno tv show and it didn't seem like 15 minutes at all, they called me back to the procedure room, got me on the table. He asked if I'd had any interesting things happen since the last visit, I told him about the chickens in Hawaii and the ukulele classes, he said it reminded him of his trip to Boro Boro for his tenth anniversary, about 2 minutes maybe, then said, "You're done!" I'm telling you, he's rocket science smart, has great people skills, has great technical treatment skills, and I feel GREAT! (Maybe that's still the valium ??) I hope I feel great tomorrow from the procedure!! Just sayin, if you have back pain, Wes Whitten at Nebraska Pain Instutute is a gem among gems. Read the bio on their website. Or just trust me!! Update: it's tomorrow, I assume the valium has worn off, and I still feel great. Haven't been this pain free in 3 years. Not totally pain free yet, but he said it might take a day or two. I got a day or two!! YEA!!!!!

The staff called me into the room ten minutes before, for their pre-care exam. All was good The medical gentleman then took me to the exam room and completed his exam. A couple of minutes later Dr Whitten came in and asked several questions as to where the pain area was located. He then prepared me for the shots and proceeded to give me several shots in the pain area. After words we spoke a few minutes and he left. I was given very good care. Jerry A Hahn

I started my pain management on my lower back with Dr. Whitten about two years ago. We started with a light injection in my lower back and slowly increased the level of injections I was getting. My last one relieved my pain for 10 months. I am happy with the results so far and hope to continue to have lower back relief.
